I love saturdays and am happy to be in denial
I LOVE the weekends! We wake up on a saturday morning, normally by a poke in the face by a furry friend that is desperate to go outside and hunt birds. But don't worry, she never catches them. Then we cuddle up in bed and enjoy the fact that neither of us have to leave the the house today if we don't want to. The day proceeds like always, with a walk to buy some yoghurt, the Times, a loaf of bread from the bakers and some tulips from the green store. After brekkie Scott normally takes full advantage of the day off and has a nap in the middle of the day. I know he is 30 years old, but napping whenever he likes is his prerogative.
When husband and cat are curled up in bed at one a clock in the afternoon the the real world catches up to me. I sneak over to the computer to have a look at "the list"...
This is a list that was created on wednesday by yours truly, and it is my workload for the next 6 weeks. It is split into individual little bite-size chunks all color-coded and arranged by dates to facilitate the completion of my all the things I need to do before the end of my 2nd year at Uni. Sooo.... Today is Saturday and it looks like I have made a fatal error whilst constructing "the list"... I obviously didn't take into account that there are only 24 hours in a day and that I normally spend at least 10 of those sleeping! It has only been 3 days and I'm already behind, this does not look good for my project managing skills. So I make use of the family nap time to catch up on some work. But work time don't last long and before I know it I'm back in my little bubble of saturday laziness! The real world can catch up to me on Monday morning when it catches up to everyone else! Now I'm going to have a bath and read my book and then we are off to the movies! =D
